Day 74

Haven't had a chance to write or visit you much this week, but it has been a good week. Food has been PERFECT and I am so happy about that.

It makes me feel really good to write down what I'm having at the beginning of each day, tell my sponsor and then eat exactly what I've told her I'm going to eat.

My body feels light and clean, my mind clear and I feel more energetic. I'm not really surprised, because this is exactly what happened before when I lived on the GS food plan over a 5 year period. Not having carbs and sugars has a profound effect on my body and mind, pity I love them so much.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

  2. The reckon the feeling of being in control is almost as good as feeling slim.

For the last 6mths I have had someone that I journal my food to and it has made a HUGE difference to me. That's been more effective than even weighing in with someone else. Get the food right and who cares what the scales say (well I do really but you know what I mean)

    Congrats on a perfect week!!

  3. I love that light, clean feeling when it goes throughout my body. WHen your body is happy, the rest of you just seems to follow. Work doesn't seem that much like work, chores are nearly un-chore-like. Even folding laundry is a peaceful respite from crazy-loud-world. I've pretty much been there since a couple of weeks after I started my diabetic diet. I find it amazing how much sugar and too many carbs disturbs your whole mind and body. I feel much better now!

Your GS plan may help you avoid the whole finger-stick routine. Believe me, that's a GREAT reason to stay with it!

You sound good, Nona! Keep it up!
