Day 78

When I got up this morning it was quite misty ... I love the mist ... takes the hard edge off the world and makes it seem so soft and romantic.

Well, I've been doing GS for two weeks today. I feel great and am happy that I've moved from a UK16 to 14. I'm tired of being fat. I just want to get rid of all this weight and have it done ... but of course it is never done ... is it?

  1. Nope. It never is.

I'm glad my experiences are helping you in your determination to eat healthily. Diabetes didn't ever seem like much of a threat until I actually had to live with it. It's not really something you can convey. No one really understands what it is to have to draw your own blood a few times everyday or say that you really can't have that lovely piece of pie when you're actually DYING to swallow the thing whole.

Up until today, I've been managing pretty well. I didn't eat enough breakfast today, though and felt weak and chilled and woozy most of the morning. Lunch fixed it, but it definitely taught me that eating early and enough is key to what kind of day I'll have.

I still am applauding your drop in size!!! Hurray!

  2. You are so right ... it is never over and the more we get used to that and enjoy how we eat/live the easier that part gets. Hence why it's so important to still have our treats.

  4. In the interest of full disclosure Sayre, I could almost fit into the UK14 before Christmas, so I think it's more of a case of returning to my pre-Christmas size with an inch or two loss on top of that.
