My brand new ... well more like 6 month old ... wedding band no longer fits. It flew off my finger and across the room this weekend. Luckily I was indoors and was able to retrieve it. I'll have to get a ring guard to make it stay on my hand or give up wearing it or ... does anyone have any suggestions?

Anyway, we spend Easter Sunday and Monday with my in-laws. Had a great time in general but had a bit of a wobble with my food. Still managed to lose 1 kilo (roughly 2lbs) which I'm really happy about. I'm slowly inching my way to my first goal, 85kgs. Really need to find new ways though to cope with social anxiety other than talking or eating too much.

  2. Great Job! You have to keep wearing your band. Ask a jeweler what they suggest, maybe for now you could wear it around your neck on a necklace? As for the magazine I am going to get since it is a reward, I was thinking either Essence or a fashion magazine. Have a great day!

  3. Congrats on the loss. Could you have it sized, I had mine sized up when I gained weight and I hope to have it cut down when I lose. Have a nice day.

  4. Good job on the loss!!! I had to have my ring re-sized, back when I was married. I loved to wear it, so it was worth the effort. Glad you didn't lose it!

When I go to parties and I don't want to drink alcohol (well it's been a while since I've done that, actually), I always bring either bottled or canned mineral or carbonated water. That way I don't replace booze with food.

    Keep up the good work!!!

  6. My goal is to WEAR my ring again. I moved it to my little finger when I got pregnant, and then when the weight didn't come off, I put it away to be worn when my fingers (and the rest of me) shrunk.

You could either add a ring guard or wear it on your necklace - but I don't know about having to have it constantly resized. I'd talk to a jeweler about it to make sure that it wouldn't be weakened by numerous resizings.

  7. I wore my wedder on my other hand as it fitted it better, when it became too large for that one I got it resized half a size smaller than my wedding finger, so as to lengthen the time between resizes. I always found ring guards scratch to much.

It's a great milestone though needing to get your ring resized I have onlt had to have it done twice after 30 kilo's using the above method

  8. Good for you Nona. I had the same ring experience as you, but don't remember what I did about it. It's a good problem to have though.

  11. Maybe move it across to the next finger? Then kind of get the hints going about having it joined to a nice "at goal" ring that your husband will buy for you!! Eating and talking too much??....I am and always will be the talk too much kind of girl:)
