Day 19

I'm back in London and settling into my routine again. We had a really lovely time in Tunisia and will be posting the highlights of our experience as soon as I upload and sort the photos.

One of the biggest lessons I learnt during my trip is that having fun doesn't have to be about eating. EUREKA!!! I had the most amazing time without binging my way through the whole experience. Another great lesson was ... I NEED TO GET MORE EXERCISE ... EUREKA!!! lOL!!! By the very nature of our journey, I was forced to walk a certain amount everyday (Average:5miles/8kilometers) and within the first week my trousers had loosed up considerably. Made me realise how sedentary my life in London is. Aside from Tango and Tennis which we begin again this week, and the elliptical which I went back to this morning, I need to find a way to move more in my daily life (more walking, less bus and train I guess). I understand much more now how much moving in the course of my day will help my health and weight loss efforts.

Anyway, I am happy to report that I have lost 2kgs/4.4lbs which brings my weight loss so far to 10kgs and puts me at 80kgs/176lbs. Oh Happy Day!!!

I have 19 more days in my weight loss program which started on 27th August 2007. I am nowhere near where I wanted to be ... where I though I would be ... but at least I'm not where I was at the end of August. I have had some loss and lots of stagnation, but I am very happy that the pants that I was wearing last August on my waist, now slips down and over my hips buttoned.

  2. Welcome home, welcome home!!! It sounds like you got a lot more out of this trip than just a vacation. Good for you!

The trick is, of course, continuing to get that level of exercise in your daily life. You're kind of used to it at this point, but you didn't have the kind of time constraints on you there as you do in London. Figure it out and you are golden!

Your attitude says much too. I had one of those setback/aha days last week with the unfortunate jeans discovery, but I'm okay now!
